Confessions Of A Lazy Blogger

I have a confession to make – I can be lazy at blogging.

All it takes is for you to check on the date of my previous post and you will know what I’m talking about.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy blogging or writing, or even coming up with blog ideas. I think it’s more to do with me getting caught up with enjoying the day. A bit too much, at times.

I swear ideas come about all the time. But if I’m stuck online finding the cheapest flights (without much success still) or getting caught up in the latest celebrity gossip (oh dear!), there is just no hope in getting my blog going.

This is terrible and I need to get my blogging powers prowess skills up to scratch. At this point, I think I need to confess my blogging “sins” and hopefully, get the laziness out of my system.

Confessions Of A Lazy Blogger

…to want to blog, but all I really want to do is to catch the new episode of “Council House Crackdown“.

…to not writing down my ideas in the notebook that I carry around all the time when I really, really should be doing so. Like, really.

…to saying “Hell Yeah” to a day out in town, especially when I know ice-cream will somehow be involved #iblameicecream.

…to not taking my camera out when the day is beautiful. Beautiful day = pretty photos.

…to not updating my social media accounts for days on end, leading to some friends suggesting I’m hibernating in a cave somewhere remote and wifi-less. Or just taking a long nap.

…to giving up before I even start. Boo šŸ˜¦

…to being distracted by Buzzfeed (eeeks!) and The Daily Mail (double eeeks!)

…to being more concerned on the whereabouts of Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba (hence, The Daily Mail distraction)

…to reading books, newspapers and magazines instead.

…to taking naps all the time (related to point on hibernation)

This list is in no way suggesting that other travel bloggers don’t have a life outside of their blogs. If anything, they are living it up and discovering life in wonderful ways.

The only difference between me and them is that they actually make time to blog about their travels. And that is something I need to get back to doing sooner, rather than later.

May my next post be one of wanderlust and joy. My travel tales from afar are not going to write themselves after all šŸ˜‰

  1. I know what you mean, there are times when I don’t feel like writing a single word. There are times when I don’t feel like doing anything, just browsing the internet and wasting time, haha. Looking forward reading about your Peru adventures šŸ˜€

    1. I’m glad you feel the same way too, Vlad. Though it would do me some good to be more hardworking (as you are) and focused. Oh wait, “Council House Crackdown” is on :p

  2. Hi šŸ™‚ I’m laughing as I see this… because I can relate!! Between travel & life, I feel like I have little time… But I should MAKE the time. Excited to check out your Peru pics in a few here… Hugs, G.

  3. I know what you mean, also. Thank you for sharing the confessions that we all have (in some variation) with the internet world. I can’t imagine it’s easy to expose oneself and make it sounds so easy, but you are far from alone in the laziness game.
Forever, I have 87 things on my to-do list and half of them are from last week (or worse… last month!). But life is also meant to be enjoyed on occasion. I think we can all relate to that, also! šŸ˜‰
