When my Spanish teacher Carmen showed the class some pictures of the Canary Islands, we all gasped in unison. It really did look like paradise on earth. I decided, there and then, that if I was ever going to get lost somewhere with limited Spanish-speaking skills, the Canary Islands would be the only place to do it. Sun, sea, sand, muchos tapas and lots of luscious greenery. What more could a girl want?
So, imagine my surprise when I came across a video of the islands many months later on Lucid Practice – this wonderful site I go to on a regular basis for all things travel, yoga and all-round happiness. If there ever was a video to inspire wanderlust in someone, this would do so – and in three minutes to boot! I’m pretty sure I’ve watched it way too many times. So, I thought I’d share it for all to sigh over (in a good way, of course).
Please take some time to watch this wonderfully-made video by the extremely talented Günther Gheeraert. Aptly titled “Frames of Life”, I assure you it would leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy. And possibly with a ticket to Spain on your immediate to-do list. Enjoy.
